Advanced Drone Applications

A drone that is compliant to survey a building can do more on the same visit. These three applications use the same licensed pilots and the same CAD Advanced Operations Permission as an inspection flight, so each can be added to a survey or arranged on its own.

Water leakage testing

Seepage and moisture are traced across façades, rooftops and podiums from the air. Paired with infrared thermography, the temperature difference where water is present shows the path it has taken, rather than only the point where it appears inside. That allows early diagnosis and targeted follow-up instead of opening up finishes to find the source.

Façade cleaning

Glass, cladding and signage are cleaned from the air, which cuts the scaffolding, gondolas and manual work at height that routine maintenance would otherwise require. It suits buildings where mounting access equipment is disruptive, slow, or costly relative to the work being done.

Public address and broadcasting

A drone-mounted public address system carries announcements to the occupants of a high-rise when the building’s own fire alarm or communication system is unavailable — during an incident, a power failure, or works that take the system offline. It reaches floors and elevations that ground-level equipment cannot.
